Macadamias Australia's Goodwood Road plantation is one of Australia's largest single variety plantations. In ideal conditions, Macadamias Australia harvests 2000 tonne of 'nut in shell' macadamias each year, supplying macadamia kernel to some of the world's largest food manufacturers. Empire Engineering was engaged early in the planning phase of the project to provide a Stormwater Management Plan Report and Traffic Impact Assessment Report to accompany the planning approval application. Empire Engineering went on to provide the detailed civil and structural engineering design for the project. The structural engineering design of the 8,500m2 processing facility included slab and footings, suspended slabs, reinforced concrete tilt panels, structural framing, bracing and tie-down. The civil engineering design included the external intersection upgrade works on the State controlled Goodwood Road, all internal driveways and car parking, and stormwater drainage. Empire Engineering is currently undertaking construction inspections for the project.
